I believe a SEC were somewhat willing to play true road games

as long as the opponent was still located in the southeast US. However, there aren't as many SEC schools who are willing to play away games against opponents outside the southeast region. So I am not surprised by UGA's decision to play a home-home series with Clemson or FSU. Now if UGA announced it agreed to a home-home series with Oregon, Syracuse, Pitt, Illinois, or K-State, then I would be surprised by the announcement.
